Description

Teens work with a case manager who provides guidance and resources when they are pregnant or parenting. Helps the teen give birth to a healthy baby, complete their education, avoid another unplanned pregnancy, and get some good parenting skills. Two programs are offered; Adolescent Family Life Program (AFLP) and Cal-Learn Programs.

Services can be continued until age 22. Program participation includes meeting with a case manager up to twice a month. Meetings occur at locations convenient for the client including school or at their home.

Program Delivery
Eligibility: AFLP: Youth who are expecting and/or parenting and their partner in pregnancy and/or parenting are eligible for enrollment into AFLP if they are 21 years of age and younger.


Cal-Learn: Youth under 19 years of age, expecting and/or parenting, receiving CalWORKs, and have not yet earned a high school diploma/GED.
Languages: Hmong, Spanish, English
Application Process: Call to make a referral or complete the online referral form.
