Nevada County Connects p​rovides fixed-route public transit services throughout Western Nevada County. The service offers connections to regional transit systems and is accessible through various tools and resources.

Services include:

• Fixed Route Transit Services: Operates throughout Western Nevada County.
• Regional Connections: Route 5 connects to Auburn Station for transfers to Placer County Transit, Auburn Transit, Sacramento Light Rail, and Amtrak Thruway services.
• Rider’s Guides: Available at local public libraries, Nevada City City Hall, Grass Valley City Hall, Nevada City Chamber of Commerce, and the Greater Grass Valley Chamber of Commerce.
• Trip Planning Tools:
  • Transit App: Provides real-time bus location information.
  • Google Transit Trip Planner: Available through the Google Maps app or the Nevada County Connects Trip Planner web page.
• Fares and Passes: Information available on the website. Individuals with EBT cards may qualify for bus passes through the Nevada County Department of Social Services.

Paratransit and Senior Dial-A-Ride:

Available through Nevada County Now.

• Evacuation Orders and Animals:
  • Service Animals: Allowed with no size or type restrictions.
  • Non-Service Animals: Allowed if in a leak-proof cage carried and controlled by the owner. No large animals allowed (horses, cows).
