Description
Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy (HICAP) provides free, unbiased information and counseling to Medicare beneficiaries and people becoming eligible for Medicare within six months.
It older adults and people with disabilities in Nevada, Placer, and Yuba-Sutter counties.
Services include:
- Information about Medicare benefits, coverage options, and enrollment
- Counseling on supplemental insurance, long-term care insurance, and drug plans
- Assistance with billing issues, appeals, and denials
- One-on-one appointments with trained volunteer Medicare counselors
