Description
Nevada County Adult Protective Services (APS) supports older adults and dependent adults who may be experiencing neglect, physical abuse, financial exploitation, or self-neglect.
APS investigates reports of abuse and provides safety planning, referrals, and case management to protect vulnerable adults who are unable to care for themselves.
Services include:
- Investigating reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of older and dependent adults
- Providing referrals to medical, legal, housing, and supportive services
- Developing safety plans and offering crisis intervention
- Coordinating case management to support ongoing needs
- Collaborating with law enforcement and service providers when appropriate
