Community Beyond Violence provides crisis response and recovery services for individuals impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, human trafficking, and stalking. 

Services are confidential and available to survivors of all genders.

Services include:

  • 24/7 crisis counseling by phone, text, and online chat
  • Emergency shelter and safe housing (pet friendly) for up to 90 days
  • Support groups
  • Food, clothing, and transportation assistance
  • Legal advocacy and help with Domestic Violence Temporary Restraining Orders (TROs)
  • Court and mediation accompaniment
  • Referrals to Nevada County Victim Witness and other support systems
  • Coordination of Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) exams and medical response following sexual assault
  • Referrals to additional services

Volunteer requirements: 65 hour certification for working with client; no requirements for special events and office assistance.
Volunteer duties: Crisis Line, accompany clients to court or hospital; special events and office assistance.
