Description
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers provide free tax preparation services and electronic filing of both Federal and California tax returns.
Appointments for 2025 tax returns can be scheduled every Monday from February 2nd to April 14th.
To schedule:
- Submit a form online
- A limited number of Saturday appointments will be available at the Nevada County Contractors Association offices and can be scheduled on this webpage

Additional notes:
This service is provided to Nevada County residents; people do not need to be AARP members to use it.
Although there are no upper or lower income or age limits for Tax-Aide assistance, the program has a focus on taxpayers who are 60 and older and have low to moderate income.
The Tax-Aide group can prepare most common personal tax returns, including those that have wages, interest, dividends, itemized deductions, pension, and IRA withdrawals.
