Description
Provides services to ensure the safety of older adults and adults with disabilities. Helps older adults and dependent adults remain safely in their homes. Social workers investigate allegations of abuse. They also provide advocacy. This includes information and referrals for housing, food, clothing, and case management. Free training on elder abuse is available to any group or organization.
Abuse can include physical abuse, neglect and self-neglect, mental suffering, and financial abuse.
If one suspects elder or dependent adult abuse, call APS or fill out a Report of Suspected Abuse.
