Description
Provides child protection services to children and families in Shasta County. Provides a 24-hour child abuse hotline for reporting suspected abuse and neglect. Social workers investigate allegations. Calls that do not require investigation are referred to other services. 
Aims to help families:
- Create safe and stable homes
 - Promote the well-being of children
 - Prevent abuse or neglect.
 
Abuse can include physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse/mental suffering, and general or severe neglect.
