Provides vital statistics services in Shasta County.:
  • Registers all births and deaths
  • Issues certified copies of birth and death certificates
  • Issues burial permits.
Keeps birth and death certificates on file for two years from the date of registration. (Records older than this are available through the Shasta County Recorder’s Office.)

Provides help with:
  • Birth certificate amendments
  • Acknowledgment of paternity
  • Delayed birth certificates
  • Out of hospital birth certificates.
