Description
The Youth Service Corps program allows nonprofit organization or local government agency employers to connect with eligible job applicants and expand their workforce while the program pays for training.
The program:
- Places trained interns that match the needs of employers
- Pays an intern’s wages for up to six months while employers provide role-specific training
- Provides interns with coaching and support for the duration of the internship
- Is open to both English only and Spanish only speakers
The Connecting Point Employment Services department offers the Youth Service Corps program. The program is focused on hiring youth ages 16-30 to work with local nonprofits or government agencies in the areas of public service, food insecurity, and climate action.
