Designated access points trained to provide problem-solving services. Offered as part of a community-wide approach to divert or rapidly exit households from homelessness.

2-1-1 CAS Specialists can assess and connect eligible households to Problem Solving Access Points (PSAPs). Appointments are scheduled based on the capacity of the PSAP provider and are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Program Delivery
Eligibility: Those who are at risk of or are experiencing literal homelessness, or are fleeing/attempting to flee domestic violence, sexual assault, or human trafficking. Additional eligibility criteria may apply, such as income requirements based on the household's homelessness or at-risk of homelessness status.

- Financial assistance can only be received once in a lifetime.
- Housing search assistance is only available for existing housing voucher holders.
- A 3 Day Pay or Quit Notice is not eligible.
Languages: 2-1-1 offers a variety of languages via translation services, American Sign Language Interpreter available on request, English
Application Process: Call 2-1-1 Sacramento for assessment and connection to resources.
PSAP appointments may be virtual or in-person; CAS Specialists will provide further details.
Payment methods:
Program Fees: No fee.
Documents Required: Required documents will depend on the type of assistance being sought. However, it is important to note up front that an Eviction Notice (Summons - Unlawful Detainer) is required for eviction prevention assistance. A 3 Day Pay or Quit Notice is not eligible.

For those seeking move-in cost assistance, individuals must show proof that they have been approved for a new unit.
