Eligibility:

California residents who are 18 years or older and meet the income requirements listed below. A portion of the incentives is set aside for priority applicants. One incentive is available per individual.
- Priority Applicants: household income must be at or below 225% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines (effective as of January 2025).

Household size of 2: monthly income of $3,966; annual income of $47,588
Household size of 3: monthly income of $4,997; annual income of $59,963

Household size of 6: monthly income of $8,091; annual income of $97,088

Application Process:

Visit the website to complete an online application. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis during open application windows. An application window will be opened every 3 to 4 months.
The application process, which includes residency verification, income verification, and education/safety training requirements, may take up to 60 days, depending on the speed at which steps are completed by applicants and program processing times.
Individuals must receive an approval notification with their incentive voucher before purchasing an e-bike. Purchases made before receiving these will not be eligible for the incentive.
