Description

The Madelyn Helling Library serves as the main branch of the Nevada County Library system, located near the Eric Rood Government Center in Nevada City.

Services include:

  • Access to books, media, Wi-Fi, public computers, and self-service options
  • Free technology classes and digital resource support through the Collaborative Technology Center (CTC)
  • Community rentals and event spaces, including:
    • Gene Albaugh Community Room (reservable, $10/hr, 2-hr minimum, 10-hr/month max)
    • Gold Rush and Prospector Study Rooms (reservable in 30-minute increments, 6-person max, not for business use)
    • Marian E. Gallaher, M.D. Amphitheater (available daily by reservation, 8am-9pm)
  • Events and programs such as art circles, language classes, drop-in services, and intergenerational activities like “Ukulele for the People” and “Sudoku for Seniors”
  • Lawyer at The Library
