Plans, prepares, and operates programs to respond quickly to threats or emergencies that endanger the health of the public. Helps with flu pandemics, earthquakes, or multi-casualty incidents. Works with medical providers and healthcare facilities to coordinate emergency preparedness and response. Recruits volunteers for the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC). Serves as personnel assisting in health or medical response during emergencies.
