Offers assistance to those who live in poverty and those who are struggling to make ends meet. Must be residents in certain parts of zip codes 95608, 95821, 95841, or a very small part of zip code 95864. Clients must call to confirm they are within the service area.

Types of assistance include:
  • Rental Assistance (must have an eviction or 3-day notice)
  • Utility Assistance (must have shut-off notice - PG&E, SMUD, or Water)
  • Food Pantry
  • Thrift Store Gift Card - Material goods are provided through a gift card redeemable at the Saint Vincent de Paul thrift store. Can be used to purchase items in the thrift store including clothing and beds. Maximum $50.00

Program Delivery
Eligibility: Those living in parts of zip codes 95608, 95821, 95864, and 95841 who are living in poverty and struggling to make ends meet and homeless individuals. Homeless individuals do not need to reside in one of the required zip codes.

Application Process: MUST call during office hours to verify eligibility and make an intake appointment. Messages left on the answering machine will NOT be returned.

A home visit may be required for utility and rental assistance.

Program Fees: No fee.
Documents Required: Identification, income verification, and proof of address (utility bill). Shut off noticed is required for Utility Assistance.
