A Family Resource Center (FRC) offering a variety of free programs to families with children under the age of 18 that live in Sacramento County. Provides assistance and support in accessing resources for basic needs.

Family Resource Center Services include:
  • Crisis intervention and CPS joint visitation 
  • Play & Learn classes
  • Baby bonding classes
  • Court-ordered parenting skills classes
  • Group-based activities for adults and children
  • Community support groups for parents and caregivers offered in a variety of languages
  • Car seat safety classes. Baby and child car seats may be available after completion of the class. Car seats are distributed based on need and availability.
  • Safe Sleep Baby classes. Portable crib may be available after completion of the class, depending on need and availability.
Birth & Beyond In-Home Visitation
Helps at-risk families with children from birth through 17 years of age and pregnant women improve their parenting skills in order to reduce instances of abuse and neglect in the community.

Parent Education – Court-approved workshops available at no charge that cover a variety of parenting issues. Classes include:
  • Nurturing Parenting Program
  • Make Parenting a Pleasure
  • Dare To Be You

Eligibility: Family Resource Center (FRC): Families with children from birth through age 17 living in Sacramento County.

Birth & Beyond Home Visitation: Families that are pregnant or have children from birth through age 17 and are living within the following ZIP codes: 95610, 95652, 95660, 95673, 95841, 95842, and 95843.
Languages: Translation services are available for multiple languages. American Sign Language Interpreter available on request, Dari, Farsi, Hmong, Russian, Spanish, English
Application Process: Telephone, walk-in, or agency referral.
