Sacramento County homeless families currently living in a car, tent, somewhere unsafe, or somewhere not meant for human habitation. Families must include at least one legal parent/guardian of children under the age of 18 or 19 and enrolled in high school. Cannot be a 290.

Entry into the Emergency Family Shelter is via the Coordinated Access System (CAS). Those who are literally homeless can call 211 Sacramento to complete a shelter survey, which is entered into the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). When bed availability opens, 211 will facilitate placement into the shelter based on the eligibility requirements of the shelter site.
