Project GO operates the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) for Nevada and Placer counties. Project GO also owns and operates five affordable apartment communities in Placer County for low-income families and seniors. The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) provides assistance to eligible low-income households through three programs:
  • Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP)
  • Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP)
  • Weatherization Assistance Program
HEAP Utility Assistance includes payment of Gas, Oil, and Propane energy bills, as well as the purchase of Firewood. All services provided by Project GO are through a grant-funded program and there is NO co-pay or costs associated with our services. Applicant must meet the Income Eligibility Criteria and provide proof of eligibility.

LIHWAP - Water Assistance Program - will assist with payment of delinquent water bills and is scheduled to end March 31, 2024. Contact Project Go to see if your Water Agency has signed up to participate in this program. As with the HEAP program, LIHWAP is a grant-funded program and there is NO co-pay or costs associated with our services. Applicant must meet the Income Eligibility Criteria and provide proof of eligibility.
