Program: IN-HOME SUPPORTIVE SERVICES (IHSS) - NCDSS

Agency: NEVADA COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES

Resource Number: 4661907
Description

In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) provides assistance to eligible aged, blind and disabled individuals who are unable to remain safely in their own homes without this assistance. Offers an alternative to out of home care, such as skilled nursing or board and care.

People interested in receiving IHSS have to start the process with Nevada County Adult Services. Call 530-265-1639 or visit the local office to request an IHSS application.

You must be receiving or eligible for Medi-Cal. After Medi-Cal eligibility is determined, a county social worker will come to your home to conduct a needs assessment to determine the IHSS services and hours you need.
