Community Beyond Violence provides many services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, stalking, and dating violence.

Services include
  • 24/7 crisis counseling
  • Shelter and safe housing (pet friendly) for up to 90 days
  • Support groups
  • Food, clothing, and transportation
  • Accompaniment and advocacy
  • Legal services - CBV assists with preparation of Domestic Violence Temporary Restraining Orders (TROs) and accompanies clients to court and mediation appointments. Accompanies victims through the court process and connects them with support systems such as the Nevada County Victim Witness.
  • Referrals to additional services
  • SART (exam following sexual assault, rape kit, etc) - ​SART stands for Sexual Assault Response Team
