Through the #CaliforniansForAll Youth Jobs Corps program, nonprofit organization or local government agency employers can connect with eligible job applicants and expand their workforce while the Youth Job Corps program pays for training.
 
The program:
  • Places trained interns that match the needs of employers
  • Pays an intern’s wages for up to six months while employers provide role-specific training
  • Provides interns with coaching and support for the duration of the internship
  • Is open to both English only and Spanish only speakers
The Connecting Point Employment Services department offers the #CaliforniansForAll Youth Jobs Corps program. The program is focused on hiring youth ages 16-30 to work with local nonprofits or government agencies in the areas of COVID-19 recovery, food insecurity, and climate action.
 
#CaliforniansForAll Youth Jobs Corps has three core goals:
1. Increase employment for underserved youth across California
2. Develop meaningful public service career pathways
3. Enhance the capacity of local governments to address challenges in the key areas of food insecurity, climate action, and COVID-19 recovery

Program Delivery
Eligibility: Eligibly for employment partners requires a 'not for profit' tax status. Partnership is permitted, but not limited to, non-profit organizations and local government agencies. Not for profit agencies (including schools, school districts, and hospitals) are also acceptable.

The agency must be able to provide at least 20 hours of work for interns per week, and also have capacity to train, and work hands on in a coaching/mentoring role.
