Provides a Nurse Home Visitor throughout one's pregnancy and until the baby turns two years old. Services help first-time mothers:
  • Have healthy pregnancies
  • Improve child health and development
  • Become more financially self-sufficient.
This program is free and voluntary.

Eligibility: First-time moms, less than 28 weeks pregnant, low-income, Shasta County residents
Languages: Other language interpretative services available upon request, American Sign Language, Spanish, English
Application Process: -Call to schedule first meeting at the home or at NFP office
-Women are encouraged to enroll as early as possible in the pregnancy
