Description

Provides a mobile response team for the assessment and evaluation of individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Calls are receivedfrom the community, law enforcement, schools, social services, and concernedfamily members. The team conducts crisis risk assessments, initiates involuntary hospitalizations (WIC 5150/5585) if necessary, and provides referrals and linkages to community support and follow-up services. The Psychiatric Emergency Response Team (PERT) is a component of CAT that includes behavioral health clinicians who work alongside and co-respond with law enforcement to handle behavioral health crises in their assigned city.
