Description
Offers families or individuals who are temporarily homeless, living in their vehicles a safe place to park overnight. All participating facilities and locations will be providing open restrooms throughout the night. Community and Recreation Services Department will be providing an attendant. Attendant will be present throughout the night at all locations.

Some facilities and locations will be providing the following, (ask program contact for specifics):
  • Showers and toiletries
  • Open pantry (clothing and food)
  • Dinner service/breakfast/snacks
  • Free Wi-Fi/computer use
  • Laundry Service
Pet friendly program. Must pick up after pets
Does not accept any motorcycles, RV's, or motorhomes.

Program Delivery
Eligibility: Must have the need of a safe parking space to sleep overnight.

Must have a running vehicle. Does not accept any motorcycles, RV's, or motorhomes.

The location of program varies with host availability. Once registered, locations and nights of operation will be shared.
Languages: Spanish, English
Application Process: Visit during program hours. Must fill out application at the Ruggieri Senior Center through the program coordinator Jesus Garcia. Will be given a Placard to be posted visibly in windshield area. Currently there are spots available. You must call Jesus Garcia at 510-675-5482 to make an appointment. Must Register with the program in order to participate. 
Program Fees: No fee
Documents Required: Need make, model, license plate number, and color of vehicle in order to register.
