Description
Medicaid for Employees with Disabilities program, also known as "MED-Connect", was authorized by The Ticket to Work and Work Incentives Improvement Act of 1999.  Program allows persons with a disability to engage in employment without risking eligibility for needed medical services through the Medicaid program, and also allows certain individuals to keep other necessary services needed to remain employed. In general an eligible person with a disabling condition who is employed, can qualify for Medicaid without the use of spenddown while earning income in excess of traditional income limits.
