Eligibility:

Parents or caretaker relatives who have a child/children on HUSKY A, is living with the HUSKY A-eligible child, and whose income is at or below 160% of the Federal Poverty Level; Coverage for just a child/children is provided when income is at or below 201% of the Federal Poverty Level; No asset limits; Must be U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status for at least 5 years to be eligible; Parent is ineligible if not willing to comply with child support enforcement requirements; Caretaker relatives DO NOT need to have legal custody of a child living with them in order to apply for HUSKY for themselves or the child
Note: When looking at the HUSKY family income guidelines, please keep in mind that DSS may not count some income and may also deduct certain expenses; The best thing to do is apply and let DSS determine family’s eligibility
**Counts as Income - Wages & tips, unemployment, pensions & annuities, alimony, Income from business or personal services, dividends and taxable interest, rents and royalties, portion of Social Security, cash support (with exceptions);
**Does not count as Income - SNAP, worker's compensation, Social Security, child support, SSI, TANF, gifts, qualified scholarships, certain salary deferrals, Section 8 voucher
