PLEASE REFER TO THE CALLER'S LOCAL COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY BASED ON HOW THEY HEAT AND THEIR ZIP CODE DURING THE ENERGY ASSISTANCE SEASON (TYPICALLY AUG. 1 - MAY ANNUALLY)

Description

Households can apply through their local Community Action Agency or online: www.ct.gov/heatinghelp/apply.

DSS Energy Unit does not provide direct services to clients. Unit serves as the administrative entity for Connecticut Energy Assistance Program (CEAP). Local Community Action Agencies take applications and determine eligibility. Persons who wish to apply for energy assistance must contact their nearest Community Action Agency. People who have questions or complaints about their energy assistance application site can call the Energy Unit at DSS for information about their rights, program eligibility and benefit rules, or to register a complaint.
