Case management services for families who request budget management, personal counseling and other long-term professional services.


Community Center: 651-776-8169. Provides a variety of programs for all ages designed to meet physical, emotional, educational and spiritual needs including group club activities, summer day camping, senior citizen programs, athletics, arts and crafts, music and drama, preschool program, teen counseling, gymnasium, after school programs, etc.

Vouchers for clothing (single adults only), bedding and kitchen items available through Alley Shoppe. Not available during summer when Alley Shoppe is closed.

Youth food shelf

Financial assistance, when funds are available, for rent, deposit, mortgage, some transportation, emergency and supplemental food and other special needs. Applications are taken starting on the 1st of each month (or the next business day). Only a limited number of applications are taken, so applications may only be available on or for a few days after the 1st. Call for availability.

Fresh food distribution of bread, produce, baked goods, and more is available to anyone. Distribution takes place using a lottery system.

Food shelf some Asian and East African specialty food products may be available.

Program Delivery
Eligibility: Food shelf: Residents in the area bounded by County Road B on the north; Burlington Northern Railroad tracks and Grove Street on the south and west; English Street and Johnson Parkway on the east.

- Fresh food distribution: Open to all

- Youth food shelf: No geographic restrictions. Serves ages 25 and younger, with a focus on those 20 and younger.

- Emergency assistance: Residents of 55101, 55106, 55108, 55112, 55113, 55114, 55117, and 55130
Languages: Hmong, Laotian
Application Process: Call or walk in for most programs. Food shelf is available on a walk-in basis only; available to the first 15 walk-ins per shift (morning and afternoon) daily. Fresh food distribution takes place using a lottery system.
