Metro Transit encourages people who need shelter to use transit to access county resources or other providers, and those who need a warm place to stay will not be turned away if they are unable to pay a fare.

Ramsey County staff are available from 5 pm to 5 am to help refer people to the nearest warming space or extra available shelter beds. Additional warming space locations will be added as needed.

Note: When temperatures reach zero degrees or below and/or when windchill reaches -15 or below, additional local shelter beds or warming spaces may become available. Call or email for additional information.

Transportation

Ramsey County staff will operate a free shuttle service every night from 9 pm - 7 am, ensuring transportation to and from Winter Warming Space locations. Individuals will be able to access this transportation only at the listed locations:

Route #1 shuttle stops (for single adults and couples)
  • Safe Space Shelter: 160 East Kellogg Blvd., Saint Paul, MN 55101
  • Listening House of Saint Paul: 421 East 7th Street, Saint Paul, MN 55101
  • Regions Hospital: 640 Jackson Street, Saint Paul, MN 55101
Route #2 shuttle stops (for youth and families)
  • Central Baptist Church: 420 North Roy Street, Saint Paul, MN 55104
Stops along transportation routes may be added.

WASHINGTON COUNTY

All Saints Lutheran Church - Cold Weather Shelter
