Description
This agency oversees the following programs:

• Prescription Drug Program - 60 years old and older, burdened by high prescription cost and resident of DeKalb County.
• SCSEP (Senior Community Service Employment Program) - 55 and older, live in DeKalb County, have a household income of no more than 25% over the federal poverty level, out of work or has trouble finding a suitable job. To promote the value of older workers, the National Counsil on Aging and the U.S. Department of Labor provide a training program through the SCSEP.
• In-Home Services - The In-Home Service Program is a gap filling service to help homebound seniors remain living indepently in their homes. Some of the supportive services that are provided include light housekeeping, shopping assistance, daily contact, meal preparation and letter writing.
• Home-Delivered Meals - Volunteers deliver well-balanced noon-time meals, for those who are unable to prepare meals for themselves, and whose relatives or friends are unable to assist them. A home visit by the Nutrition Coordinator and the Center Manager is necesssary to evaluate the situation.
• Transportation - Provides free public transportation to all ages for personal purposes (work, haircut, school, appointments etc.)
