This department serves rural Madison County OUTSIDE the city limits of Huntsville and Madison Departmental Services include: Impoundment and shelter of stray, abandoned, and nuisance animals; humane trapping of nuisance domestic and wild animals; emergency transport of injured animals, identification and return of lost pets, animal cruelty/neglect investigation; enforcement of state and local animal control laws; investigation of animal bites; humane education; community resources pertaining to animal behavior, care, welfare, and regulation.
