Description
|
Offers adoption services and foster care licensing.
SERVICES:
1) ADOPTION: Provides services which enable legally free children to become adopted. Services are initiated by foster care staff for children who have been maltreated or have been in foster care with no chance of returning to their families. Children are placed with adoptive parents who previously applied to adopt and have been approved to do so through a home study process. Many of the children freed for adoption have special needs and disabilities.
2) FOSTER CARE LICENSING: Offers 24-hour care for non-related children. A program that requires licenses for families. Once approved, foster parents receive board payments, Medical Assistance Card and a clothing allowance for the support of the foster child. This is substitute care provided on a temporary basis until the child can return home.
