Description
|
CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES: Investigates allegations of physical/sexual abuse and neglect of children.
PROCESS: Legal mandates require children in neglect cases to be seen within 5 days and in abuse cases within 24 hours. Emergency services may include placement in sheltered care or court involvement, or may involve counseling with the family to rectify the situation.
