OVERVIEW: Manages and monitors foster care home licensing and permanent placements of children who have been determined they can no linger stay in their homes.
SERVICES:
1) FOSTER CARE: Places children in either foster homes or group homes when it is clearly determined by the court that they can no longer remain in their own homes. Returning home is the primary focus.
2) FOSTER HOME LICENSING: A program that requires licenses for those families providing 24-hour care for non-related children. Once approved, foster parents receive board payments, a Medical Assistance card and a clothing allowance for the support of the foster child.
