ALABAMA BAPTIST CHILDREN'S HOME & FAMILY MINISTRIES: Provides homes for children and family services. This agency may be able to provide homes for children in need ages birth-18 years of age. There are three types of home programs for the children: - Campus Care Home- children would live at homes in one of three locations statewide (Dothan, Decatur and Mobile)
- Shelter Care Homes are temporary homes for children in crisis (Decatur and Oxford)
- Foster Homes - children live in a foster family's home.
- Family Care - Ministry for struggling mothers with children. Programs provides a mother with transitional housing while she gains employment, saves money, receives counseling, and learns life skills such as budgeting and parenting. Depending on their commitment to the program, mothers may stay for up to one year.
PATHWAYS PROFESSIONAL COUNSELING: Counseling for children, youth, unmarried adults, married adults individually, married adults as couples, and families (Services include counseling for individuals and groups, creative techniques for counseling children, premarital counseling, marriage enrichment seminars, assistance to individuals and couples to strengthen parenting skills, and divorce recovery.) |
