REUNIFICATION SERVICES: Provides services to families with children in out of home placement. Children who are removed from their parents or legal guardians, are court committed and placed with relatives or in foster care until a permanent home is obtained.
KINSHIP CARE SERVICES: Offers support to kinship caregivers caring for minor relatives who are unable to remain in the care of their parents. Connects families to information, community resources, and services, and assists with urgent needs such as clothing, baby items, school supplies, and more. Support is available to help families apply for state and local benefits and programs. Hosts monthly education and support groups.
FOSTER HOME PLACEMENT/ADOPTION SERVICES: Recruits potential foster or adoptive parents to children needing loving homes. Individuals applying to be resource parents may be married or single and may already be parents. Individuals applying do not need to own their homes, and they may work outside the home. The prospective foster/adoptive home must meet basic health and safety standards, and everyone living in the home must pass a health exam. Also, everyone in the home age 18 and over must be fingerprinted for a criminal background check.
