Examines food, food handling, storage, preparation, and transportation. Monitors food permits, appears in court as law enforcers, and responds to citizen complaints. Also inspects hospitals, nursing homes, adult day care facilities, child day care centers and some homes applying for family day care or renewal of day care licenses.
