Description
|
MENTORING: Matches children with a screened and trained adult volunteer to share experiences, talents, and skills, while providing friendship, emotional support and guidance. Once paired, mentors, mentee's, and parents/caregivers may speak with a case manager monthly.
DONATIONS: Also accepts holiday donations of new toys, books, clothing, and household supplies.

Eligibility
|
Boys ages 8-12 years and girls ages 7-16 years. Must be from single parent homes or some similar background. Technical assistance is available to eligible mentoring programs. All participants agree to commit to a match relationship for at least one year, and to share activities together 2-3 times per month.

Volunteer Requirements
|
Adults ages 21 years and older are needed for mentoring. Exceptions made for full-time college students ages 19 years and older. Must pass a backgroyund check and complete all training.
