Description COVID-19 Update: Christopher Place is accepting applications. Individuals must call to make an appointment and a negative COVID test less than 72 hours old is required. Individuals must have access to ZOOM to meet with a Christopher Place staff member. In addition, they must pass a urinalysis.

EMPLOYMENT: Offers a 12 month residential employment academy for men who are committed to improving their situations. Provides financial skills training, GED preparation, life skills training, job readiness, and job search assistance. Individuals may remain for an additional 12 months if they are in good standing with the program and would like to continue in the academy.

Program
Eligibility Males experiencing homelessness who are between the ages 19-55, are drug-/alcohol-free for 30 days or more and are employable. Ex-offenders welcome, but does not accept persons with open court dates, warrants, or open charges/convictions for sex offenses. Cannot be receiving any government services including disability. Only accepts Suboxone as MAT.
Program Fees When a participant finds employment, there is $175 a month program fee.
Application Process Call for an appointment or walk up to schedule an appointment. Drug screening takes place at the time of interview and intermittent random screenings will occur.

Volunteer Requirements 17 and older.
Volunteer Duties Needed to prepare and serve meals, and serve as tutors and mentors to program participants.
