Description
|
OVERVIEW: Provides support groups, counseling, information and referral and school support to youths and their family. SERVICES:
1) SUPPORT GROUPS: Various support groups are run by counselors during the school day. These groups address subjects such as anger management, conflict resolutions, social skills, family changes, grief and loss, stress management and healthy relationships.
2) COUNSELING: Provides short-term counseling (individual, group and family) to youth and their families.
3) INFORMATION & REFERRAL: Provides youth and families in need of long-term counseling and other community services with appropriate program referrals.
4) LINKAGE TO LEARNING: Offers assistance to at-risk children and families to improve performance in school, home and community. Service is provided within the schools.
