COMPLAINT MANAGEMENT: Receives and investigates complaints/concerns made by or on behalf of residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Provides information on long term care issues in general, residents' rights, long term care facilities, and elder abuse. Advocates for improvements of state, federal, and local laws and regulations that affect long term care facility residents.

Program
Eligibility Individuals living in a long term care facility, nursing home, or assisted living facility and their responsible parties.
Languages Offered Accommodations possible.

Normal Wait Times 5 working days for an in-person visit
Volunteer Requirements Adults 21 years and older.
Volunteer Duties Visit residents in nursing homes with Ombudsman, receive and investigate complaints. Free training provided.
