Description
|
OVERVIEW: Offers services to homeless individuals or families that will assist them to find and/or maintain a stable housing environment.
SERVICES:
1) TRANSITIONAL HOUSING: Laura’s Anchor is a transitional housing facility that provides shelter to homeless single women and families with children under age 18. Residents of the shelter are offered intensive case management to help transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency.
2) HOUSING STABILIZATION: Limited rental and/or financial assistance may be provided to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness whose income is at or below 30% Area Median Income.
3) CASE MANAGEMENT: Case management is offered to all recipients of Housing Opportunities programs to assist clients in identifying strengths and needs in the areas of housing, utilities, food, education and health and by offering recommendations and helping set and reach goals.
4) FOOD: The Maryland Emergency Food Program (MEFP) grant allows us to provide food for persons or families who are in need.
