Description

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Provides assistance, when funds are available, to eligible vulnerable adults. Assists with Constellation Home (BG&E) turn off notices on a case by case basis, as a last resort for individuals. People must go to Baltimore City Community Action Partnership for assistance first. Will assist individuals in public housing/Section 8.

CASE MANAGEMENT: Provides assistance to adults with functional disabilities seeking to remain or become self-sufficient. In addition, offers crisis intervention and case management services to alleviate immediate financial, housing, and service linkage needs. Individuals needs to be a willing participant and able to consent.

INFORMATION & REFERRAL: Offers services that are available in the community, information about the need service(s) is given, as well as an explanation about how and where to apply for them.

 Note: When calling it will connect to the abuse/neglect hotline, choose "Other" and then "Adult" and then the the city/county assistance is needed.

Program
Eligibility Individuals 18 years old and older with no minor children. Applicants must meet guidelines regarding income, provide documentation of having applied for MEAP prior to inquiring about utility assistance and proof of a vulnerability such as proof of SSDI/SSI benefits, medical diagnosis or other appropriate documentation.
Languages Offered Accommodations made with advance notice.
