OVERVIEW: Provides health benefits for children up to age 19, and pregnant women of any age who meet the income guidelines. MCHP enrollees obtain care from a variety of Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) through the Maryland Health Choice Program. Also, Maryland Medical Assistance for Families - New Healthcare for more families begins July 1, 2008, http://dhmh.state.md.us/ma4families/index.html

MCHP PREMIUM: Persons not eligible for free health care services through MCHP, may be eligible for MCHP Premium. A low monthly premium to purchase health coverage is paid.

NOTE: Children with insurance or who have voluntarily dropped insurance may not be eligible.

TRANSPORTATION: For clients having transportation difficulties, arrangements can be made 2 days in advance between hours of 8:00AM-4:30PM with MA Transportation Screening - 410-414-2489.
