Description YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES (YO): Serves youth who are disconnected from school and/or the workforce and links them to community-based educational, workforce preparation and personal development services. Offers an alternative school for over aged youth, GED and Pre-GED classes and also provides on-line courses to assist youth earn a diploma. Assists youth with job readiness classes, job placement services, career screening based on skills and interests and career training in high growth industries. Also provides life skills, clubs, fun social events, fitness center and a recording studio.

YOUTH SUMMER EMPLOYMENT: Assists Baltimore City youths 14-21, in need of summer employment. The Youth Application is open January 17 – April 28, 2022. YouthWorks 2022 will operate a 5-week summer program for youth from July 5th – August 5th, five hours per day, five days per week, totaling 25 hours per week. YouthWorkers will be introduced to workplace experiences, financial literacy development, career exploration opportunities, and skills training. The program will not be holding verification interviews in-person and instead expect participants to complete their verification documents in their application.

Application Process Orientation Wednesdays at 11:30AM.
Documents Required Social Security card, photo ID, birth certificate and mail with current address.
Volunteer Requirements 21 and older.
Volunteer Duties Property maintenance and cleaning.
