Description OVERVIEW: The Prince George's County Department of Family Services Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking Division assists in the coordination of services and programs for individuals impacted by domestic violence, human trafficking or sexual assault regardless of where they reside.

SERVICES:
1) COORDINATION OF SERVICES & PROGRAMS: Collaborates with stakeholders; identifies gaps in services; develops programs, trainings and services to meet the unique needs of the community; and advocates for victims of intimate partner violence, domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual assault and their families.

2) Provides a safe place to get free stabilization assistance (regarding programs, housing options, housing rights and protective orders), referrals for counseling, benefits, and other immediate needs. The division accepts calls for referral information Mon-Fri, 8:30AM-5PM. Services include, but are not limited to, working one-on-one with a counselor, safety planning, obtaining information regarding emergency assistance and shelter support, providing community resources, assisting participants with completing housing applications and providing survivors with tools to understand their housing protections and rights. Also assists survivors with safely obtaining apartment/housing transfers and navigating the public housing system.
