Tax Preparation 2024: Offers free basic tax preparation to people in PG County at the following sites: - Terptax UMD (7621 Mowatt Lane, College Park, MD 20742). Takes appointments Monday-Thursday, 6PM-9PM, from 2/8 to 4/15. Please call 301-906-6516 for an appointment and more information. Offers e-file. No other languages offered.
- Prince George's County Community College (301 Largo Road, Largo, MD 20774). Takes appointments Tuesdays 6PM-9PM, and Saturdays 9AM-4PM, from 2/2-4/13. Please go to www.pgcc.edu/go/tax to schedule an appointment and for more information. Offers e-file and can assist clients in Russian, Spanish, Mandarin (Chinese), Korean, French, Arabic, and Vietnamese.
NOTE: For each site, please call to confirm information on VITA website, including the documents that must be brought to the appointment.
Please Bring:
- Both spouses must come to the appointment, if filing jointly
- Photo ID for client, and spouse, if filing jointly
- Social security cards/ITIN documents for client, spouse, and dependents
- DOB for client, spouse, and dependents
- Copy of last year's federal and state tax return
- All W-2s, 1098s, and 1099s
- Form 1095-A, and any other insurance information
- Information about other income
- Information on all deductions/credits
- Total paid to daycare provider and their tax ID number
- For direct deposit of refund, proof of account
- For prior year's returns, copies of income transcripts from IRS if W-2 unavailable
- Proof of foreign status, if applying for ITIN
- Interest and dividend statements from banks
- Health insurance exemption cert, if received
