Description
|
RESOURCE COORDINATION: Regional coordinators work with uniformed service members, veterans and family members to access mental health and substance use services either through the VA health care system or community providers regardless of branch of service, era of service, or discharge status. Provides information and referrals regarding supportive services and financial assistance.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING: Provides education and training opportunities regarding military culture, unique challenges working with this population, evidence-based and best practices, and lived experience for healthcare and behavioral health providers, peers, first responders, and community groups.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: May be able to assist uniformed service members and veterans experiencing behavioral health challenges with one-time crisis funding, call for more information.
