Description RESOURCE CENTER: Provides information to individuals with concerns. May be able to provide pet food to individuals/families in need. Provides information about lower cost private veterinary services.

TEMPORARY FAMILY CRISIS BOARDING: Offers emergency boarding for pet owners in crisis such as evictions, long term hospitalization, domestic violence, and other major crises. Emergency boarding is evaluated on a case-by-case basis, contact resource@barcs.org or call for assistance.

LOST AND FOUND PROGRAM: Responsible for handling lost/found animals found in Baltimore City. However, there are additional area shelters that also take in lost/found animals. Please note that the legal lost animal hold in the State of Maryland is 72 hours. Listings of lost animals at BARCS along with complete steps for searching and redeeming a lost poet can be found on website. Contact info@barcs.org or call for assistance.

FOSTER: Fosters open their homes to care for sick and injured pets, animals having trouble adjusting to shelter life, pets who need work on their socialization skills, or those who simply need time to grow before being ready for adoption. Learn more about the foster program at www.barcs.org/volunteer-fostering. Foster walk-in hours are Mon-Fri, 2PM-5PM and weekends, 11AM-3PM.
