TAX ASSISTANCE 2024 (2023 taxes): Provides basic tax return preparation for qualifying Maryland taxpayers making $64,000 or less in tax year 2023.
Must bring the following:
- If client is married and filing jointly, both spouses must be present
- Photo ID for client (and spouse, if filing jointly)
- Social security cards or ITIN documents for client, spouse, and dependents
- DOB for client, spouse, and dependents
- Copy of last year's tax return, federal and state, if available
- All W-2s, 1098s, and 1099s.
- Form 1095-A, or other insurance information
- Information about other income
- Information about all deductions/credits
- Total paid to daycare provider and their tax ID number
- For direct deposit of refund, proof of account
- For prior year's tax returns, copies of income transcripts from IRS if W-2 unavailable
- Proof of foreign status, if applying for ITIN
- Interest and dividend statements from banks
- Health insurance exemption cert, if received
